NHT first came out with the model Zero in the early 1990's. It was a high performance two way mini speaker small enough to fit in your hand. It was upgraded to the Super Zero in the mid 1990's and got sensational reviews in Stereophile by Corey Greenburg. Customer response to the Super Zero was enormous and it became one of the best selling speakers on the market. Budget minded audiophiles coupled a stereo pair of Super Zero's with a subwoofer for surprisingly uncolored full range sound for the money. By the early 2000's NHT introduced the new Super Zero XU model with wall mounting option that the Super Zero did not have. Home theater enthusiasts with space at a premium loved the XU version and found they worked great for all five channels, and with a subwoofer, provided all the impact needed for small to medium sized rooms. In 2008 and beyond, the Super Zero XU is also finding popularity as a high quality affordable computer monitor.
